Dr. Fernandez, I know we've spoken before but I just needed to put this in writing to you to let you know how much you've helped me. Before I came to your office I was waking up each monring with terrible neck pain and headaches and taking over the counter pain medication just to feel a little better. After speaking to you and starting treatment personally by you and your great staff, my ritual of popping pills in the morning is in the past and you're hearing it from a skeptic that didn't think anything but pain medication could help. I will continue to recommend you to anyone that asks me what they should do to help with neck and body pains. Again, thank you very much Dr. Ruth.

On July 10, 2002, I survived a life altering accident. Falling through a floor, fifteen feet, left me with four compressed vertebrae. Although a splinter from one of those vertebrae was touching my spinal chord, I was able to escape the accident with no neurological damage or surgery. My neurosurgeon released me from the hospital twelve days later with a specially fitted plastic brace, a prescription for heavy-duty pain medication and instructions to “do what I feel like doing.”
At the time, I could not believe my ears. I was in excruciating pain, could barely walk and I was not given a prescription for physical therapy? About a month later, a friend referred me to a rehabilitation center. MaxHealth Center had everything I was looking for and more. Dr Ruth Fernandez sat down with me for almost two hours explaining the details of my injury and what I needed to do to recover and how she could help me regain relatively normal function. She started me on a program of physical therapy, acupuncture, and massage therapy. Thanks to Dr. Fernandez, Dr. Sutera, Dale, Gloria, Blanca, and everyone else at Max Health Center I was on the road to recovery.
Now, five years later, I continue my weekly visits to MaxHealth Center to maintain overall wellness. I have learned so much about my body and what it needs to stay healthy. Everything MaxHealth Center promotes and advocates seem to have only positive effects on my body and life-style.
More than just a rehab facility, I have come to view MaxHealth Center as my extended family. The commitment to each one of their patients is evident the moment you walk in and are greeted by the gracious staff. I am grateful to MaxHealth Center for helping me achieve so much. They have truly helped change my life.

I had been sick for a month with tonsillitis. I threw up a lot and my tonsils were the size of golf balls. I also had low back pain.
My pediatrician gave me antibiotics for a month, which did not do a thing. He did all these test and seeing that I had low blood sugar he had me eat lollipops and candies, which did not help at all. My doctor said “ let me bring you to a throat and ear specialist. Maybe he will have an idea so we will not have to take out your tonsils.”
This doctor said there was nothing to do but take out my tonsils. My mother didn’t want to take out my tonsils so the doctor told her I would have to take antibiotics for another 2 or 3 months. My mother was in despair.
In your office I got adjusted, was not allowed to drink milk, the DANGEROUS ??? For my low back pain I got exercise to do in the morning and before I went to bed. I used to have to go THREE times a week, then TWO times a week, then when I was almost cured…. ONCE A WEEK!!! I was cured! Now I only go every three weeks to get adjusted so my body works best.

I had been seeing Dr. Ruth for a couple of month and felt much better. On one of my regular visits I told her my daughter had 104 fever and was diagnosed with strep throat. Dr. Ruth told me to bring her in, so I did. Elizabeth had been on antibiotics for three days and still had not eaten solid foods. A couple of hours after her first adjustment she was eating. I was overjoyed, when I saw that sudden change in my daughter, her eyes were bright again. Since then Dr. Ruth adjusts her about three times a weeks. The doctor also suggested that dairy products be eliminated from her diet.
Elizabeth’s cousin has been sick many times after her first adjustment; she even had the chicken pox, which Elizabeth did not get. Thanks to Dr. Ruth my daughter’s immune system is so strong and she has been able to fight off many infections. I truly believe in Dr. Ruth’s method. Dr. Ruth and her staff are truly wonderful and have been there for my daughter and me.

I have taken the time to write you this letter in my appreciation for helping me with all my many problems.
Ever since I was a young girl I suffered from constipation. I’ve gone to numerous doctors and they were only able to help me for short periods. They were only able to prescribe laxative after laxative. With the diet you recommended I have had no problems. My stomach has been functioning better than ever.
Although at first it was a bit difficult to stick to the diet, I have learned how to eat properly. Now I realize it is the best thing for me. I have never felt better and I would not change it for the world, I feel more energetic! I’d like to thank you for relieving me of my lower back pain.

It is with great appreciation that I write this letter. Appreciation for your efforts and concerns in regards to your patients health and mine in particular.
I came to your office referred by a friend; I was involved in an auto accident and was presenting symptoms of nausea, dizziness and neck pain. Of great concern to me, also, was a constant ringing in my left ear.
With consistent, three times a week office visits for adjustments, the ringing in my left ear was completely gone within a period of about two months. I no longer present the severe neck pain. Your constant encouragement helped me very much in being consistent in meeting the various office appointments. Also, the seminar was helpful in terms of correcting my eating habits. As a result, I am now better able to handle the stress my daily activities bring. Most importantly, I‘ve found you have directly dealt with my illness without having to deal with “pain killers”!

I had been in a car accident and was referred for chiropractic care. I first came to this office on 10/19/1996, received treatment and got better. On 12/99, I returned for a new problem because my previous quality of care had been excellent.
Currently, I am under treatment due to a stroke that rendered me without sensation on the left side of my body; with very poor balance, dependent on a cane, severely limited ambulation and walking activity. No control.
I had been treated by a neurologist but the treatment I received from Dr. Ruth Fernandez improved my physical functional capacity tremendously without drugs.
Thanks to the treatment received from Dr. Fernandez and her staff, I have much better ability for walking and I have less limited ambulation.

I would like to give a testimony of the great treatment I have received from you guys:
I
have been a patient of MaxHealth for a year now. I was hit by a cab while
riding my bicycle and had herniated discs in my neck and torn muscles and
cartilage in my shoulder. In the course of my treatment I have been taken care
of with the utmost of attention and care. Every one of Dr. Fernandez' staff are
professional and attentive to my needs. Dr. Fernandez runs a First-class
operation where the needs, concerns and rehabilitation of the patient are the
number one concerns. Not only has Dr. Fernandez and her staff (massage
therapists, chiropracters and physical therapists) helped with my injuries, I
have learned valuable techniques which improved my posture and made me more
aware of my body to prevent any further injury.
In
the course of my rehabilitation I had additional injuries (I tore a muscle in
my lower leg) that were treated without any thought of compensation.
The
office is also run efficiently and smoothly which allows the patient to spend
the shortest time there while getting the most comprehensive treatment. It's a
well-oiled machine.
It's
always a drag to go to "the doctors'", but at MaxHealth it is like
visiting friends or family. And you don't even have to bring a cake unless you
want but keep it healthy.
