Dr. John J. Fernandez, Owner and Clinical Director of MaxHealth Center in Woodside (Queens), NY, received his Doctorate of Chiropractic at New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls, New York, in 1994 starting up his own private practice.

His post Doctoral clinical education and training include Chiropractic Sports Physician Certification (C.C.S.P.), Electrodiagnostics Certification—NCV/EMG Testing and Interpretation, and Hospital Protocols and Procedures, all three at the New York Chiropractic College. In addition, Dr. Fernandez received training on Manipulation Under Anesthesia Certification (M.U.A.) from the American Academy of Manual and Physical Medicine & University of Bridgeport; Anesthesia Awareness: Awake and Aware; Prevention of Surgical Site Infection: Surgery/Infection Control; CPR & AED Certification for Health Care Providers from the American Heart Association. He also attended the A.C.A. 2007 Sports & Pediatrics Symposium by Nike Corp. in Beaverton, Oregon and Sixth Global Scientific Convention of the American Academy of Minimally Invasive Spinal Surgeons by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons.

Dr. John Fernandez is a member of the American Chiropractic Association, New York State Chiropractic Association, Fellow of the Royal College of Chiropractic Medicine (F.R.C.C.M.), and American Academy of Pain Management. In addition Dr. Fernandez is an attending physician at The New Parkway Hospital and has privileges granted at Queens Surgical Center & Boulevard Surgical Center.

Dr. Fernandez is bilingual and his licensures include New York State Chiropractic License, New York State Workers Compensation I.M.E. Rated –D.C., and the Commonwealth of Virginia Chiropractic Licensure.
